A Belated Introduction

In my excitement to post pictures of the new house, and announce that I have finally stopped procrastinating about my wedding, I may have forgotten the whole introduction thing. So please, pardon the delay, and let me tell you a few things about myself.

My name is Kyla. I’ve been wanting to start a blog  for a long time to talk about my struggles with infertility. I know, I know, my first two posts were about the new house and the wedding, not exactly baby related. Maybe I just had to dip my toes in the water before I dove in? In reality, I don’t think I could start an infertility blog because that’s not who I am. Yes, it is a huge part of my life right now. It is important, it is more difficult than I can possibly describe, and it is something I will be talking a lot about. But, I have come to realize that there is so much more to my life than infertility.

I read plenty of articles on how to write a successful blog, and a lot of them said to specialize. Pick something you’re great at, that’s important to you, that has an audience, and stick to it! And I am sure that there are plenty of people that works for. Who wouldn’t want to read a blog specialized on healthy gluten free cooking for two? (I’m not sure that actually exists, but it was the best example I could come up with at the moment). I think specialization is a great choice, just not for me. I am not just infertile. I am not just fixing a house. I am not just planning a wedding. I am not just going to school, or working, or taking care of my dog. I am not just a cook, a cleaner, or an organizer. I’m a little bit of a lot of things, and I think that other people are too. So this is it, my messy life translated to a messy blog about a thousand things I really think other people will be able to relate to.
